Pinky's Fandance - Brian Huskey

Brian Huskey pops up on a lot of shows we watch and he's always entertaining.

It was great to meet him at the premiere for A Tale of Two Coreys as he plays Corey Haim's dad in the movie. Cool guy!

I just can't help taking pictures of Sammy when he looks so sweet and innocent.

With the rain this week it's been a chore to get him to go outside, so I treasure the moments everything is peaceful.

In Praise of the Hubs

I'm not sure if you know this or not, but my husband is pretty much the best hubby out there. Seriously, he rocks.

This weekend, much to his chagrin, he dutifully helped drive me to the Golden Globes (where I was unsuccessful in my attempts to get into the after parties), despite wanting to do basically anything else. The other day, after a long and horrible day filled with rain, rejection, and heartbreak, he drove us to Baskin Robbins because he could tell I needed it. How sweet is that?!?! I'm so proud of his work on A Tale of Two Coreys, but mostly I love him for his kind and gentle heart. Thank you, babe. I love you!

Pinky's Fandance - Ashley Scott

Here's what's funny about meeting Ashley Scott, who played Corey Feldman's mom in A Tale of Two Coreys - it wasn't until we were literally walking to our car that we figured out where we'd seen her before. She played Sweet Mary on the first season of UnREAL! We died!

As we're both huge fans of that show, we immediately ran back and fanned out all over her. She was so sweet! Loved meeting her.

Wooden Roses

I recently discovered the beauty of wooden roses and am so happy to have some in our house now.

They're such delicate little things and I love how real they look. These aren't a picture of ours, but they're pretty close to what they look like. Keith's mom had some at her house and I fell in love with them.

Pinky's Fandance - Amir Arison

One of the best parts about awards show weekends are the surprises. Getting to meet Amir Arison who plays Aram on The Blacklist may have been my favorite surprise of the weekend.

It was also a total fluke! We were at the BAFTA tea party and I saw a guy who looked like Amir jump in a car. As there was also a gifting suite going on at the same location, I figured that's where he'd probably been. As he drove up near me, I called out and asked for a pic and to my surprise and delight, he was stoked to do so! What a cool guy! Love him!

Personal Day

Yesterday I took a personal day off. Just for me. I wasn't sick, I wasn't feeling bad, I wasn't anything really except for overloaded in my brain and our house was out of control. In order to get a little bit of normalcy back, I took the day off.

As it was the first time I've ever done anything like that, I was pretty proud of myself. I even got some things done! Sure, not as much as I'd hoped, but it's definitely better in our living room and bathroom. It's still going to take an army to get us organized, but baby steps for now will keep us sane.

After a long day doing Globes stuff on Saturday, I came back home and then headed out with Keith to our friend Sammi's birthday party over at Mr. Furley's Bar.

Pinky's Fandance - Frankie Shaw

Frankie Shaw is awesome. I love her new show SMILF and was thrilled she was nominated for her very first Golden Globe. Meeting her was one of my goals of the weekend and I'm thrilled to say it happened! Woot!

Frankie is a quadruple threat - she writes, directs, produces, and stars in her quirky, fun, heartbreaking show about a single mom. The first season just ended and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to see the next season!

Exhausted

I'm beat. It was a long week of activities followed by a really long weekend of Globes parties and adventures. Sadly, I even skipped some events Saturday morning (much to my chagrin for missing so many cool things) to recover, but it didn't do much good.

This is my friend Analiese. She came out with me on Friday night, but ended up skipping Saturday night from exhaustion. I get it! Thankfully my dear friend Scotty ended up going to all the same stuff as me on Saturday afternoon/evening, so I wasn't sad and alone. Well, at least alone. :)
