Guess Who Has a Birthday One Week from Today?

That's right, my favorite day of the year (aside from Pink Day, that is, oh, and our anniversary), my birthday, is a mere week away!

Only one week of shopping time left. HAHAHAHAH. :) I'm so funny sometimes. Even in my old age.

Pinky's Fandance - KaDee Strickland

I'd like to tell you that I quickly got my picture with KaDee and then didn't hit her up about her thoughts on McDreamy's death (seeing as she was a part of the spin-off show, Private Practice)...but, alas, that would be a lie. Who are we kidding? We all know I'm still crazed about the show.

Kudos to KaDee for letting me spew my diehard fandom all over the place despite her not even seeing the episode yet. She's a hero, I tell you. A hero.

Rent This: The Wedding Ringer

Redbox now has The Wedding Ringer available to rent and it's a lot funnier than I expected it to be.

I saw a trailer last week which looked really funny, so I was stoked to find it available to rent. We really enjoyed it. Both Josh Gad and Kevin Hart are awesome in their roles and looked like they had a lot of fun making the film. What a band of misfits they find! Check it out if you get the chance.

Please explain why she still gets invited to things?!?! And come on with that dress. It's ridiculous.

Perfect Breakfast

Keith and I love Eggs Benedict and are always on the lookout for the perfect place to make it. While grocery shopping this weekend, we found a little packet to make hollandaise sauce and thought we'd try to make it on our own.

Delish! While I could think of a few ways to improve upon the sauce, it was still super yum. Keith did a great job. The mimosas weren't bad either! *slurp*

Pinky's Fandance - Billy Ray Cyrus

Someone I didn't expect to see at the John Varvatos event last week: Billy Ray Cyrus.

Although he looks rather serious (and hot) in the pics, he was super nice in person.

Here I am with half the Cyrus brood - just call me Pinky Cyrus! :)

Happy Belated Birthday, Katie!

Our sweet little friend, Katie, is visiting from the UK this week and we were able to see her briefly on Friday night. She found these amazing deals on some flamingo stuff (more on that another day) and brought it all over for us. Love it!

As her trip just happens to correlate with her birthday, I made her a pair of my trusty slippers - I love making them! Fun to see our cute friend.

The theme of this year's Met Ball had something to do with China. This, however, feels like she took the theme a *wee* bit too far.

Speaking of too far, while I'm aware it was Star Wars day, I'm not sure there was a need for her to be some Sith/C3P0 rebel.

Why do I hear the buzzing of a bee in my ear suddenly?

I can never look at her and not think of the muppet she resembles.

Top Five LOL Cats of the Day

Watch This: Avengers 2: Age of Ultron

The second Avengers movie was just as good as the first one - so much action! I forget how much I enjoy all the superheroes together and this one even had a fun party scene that showed them in their casual clothes, which was awesome.

James Spader was perfect as the voice of the bad guy and I really enjoyed the new additions of the twins - Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (who plays Kick-Ass, too. I really wanted him to turn into Kick-Ass in the film - now that would've been funny!). This film is a great ride; check it out if you get a chance!
