Pinky's Fandance - Tim Conway

As a fan of The Carol Burnett Show, I couldn't very well pass up an opportunity to meet the one and only Tim Conway this weekend.

What a sweet man! He had a line out the door - with good reason!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Tuesday Edition

Hello and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.

I wonder what on earth was so funny? And which one made the joke?!?

OK, now Emily is a super cute preggers girl, too. Can you believe she's about to pop?

Where are her pants? On her head?

I can't decide which outfit is more disturbing - her too tight and too short dress, or his paisly printed suit.

The real question is, did Cate watch Friday Night Lights? And does she know who she's talking to?

My cute husband is turning 44 in just over a week. As it's our very first birthday together, I wanted to do something special. Still, since it's so close to Christmas, I wasn't sure what to get, since we just did the big present exchange. I did put some Beatles guitar picks in his stocking, but realized he didn't have his own guitar. He only plays any guitar he ever sees around.

So, I did some research on good guitars and found this beautiful black Fender acoustic guitar online, complete with a case, some strings, some picks, and a tuner. Score! Now, I knew when it arrived in the mail, it was going to be a big box that would pique Keith's curiosity, but what I didn't foresee was that the box would arrive with a huge FENDER on the side of it. OOPS.

Needless to say, Keith now has an early birthday present and one that he seems quite fond of. Now what am I going to give him on his big day???

Pinky's Fandance - Michael Beck

Although there were a bunch of people I was excited to see myself at the Hollywood Show this weekend, one of the top ones was Michael Beck from Xanadu.

As Xanadu was the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater, it's always been very special to me, so meeting one of the other main stars from the film (since I was lucky enough to meet Olivia!) was just awesome.

Of course, it was a little jarring to see him now, since this is how my mind pictures him. When he smiles, though, you can still see "Sonny." :) Very cool guy!

Hello Kitty Wine & A Faraway Friend

I was so excited to see C. Thomas Howell AND Ralph Macchio's names listed for this weekend's Hollywood Show. As soon as I saw C. Thomas Howell's name listed, I emailed my sweet friend Katie across the pond and let her know, as she's the BIGGEST fan of The Outsiders movie that I know. Initially she was thinking she couldn't do it, but then the stars aligned and she made it out here after all! :)

We ran into her at the show and she brought me this awesome Hello Kitty wine! Hooray!

Of course we had to take a group shot together. This was our "us-ie" (plural for selfie) after the other attempts at someone taking the pictures went awry. I'm so stoked Katie got to meet some of her fave guys! :) It makes me happy to share the fangirl love. As everyone seems to have different tastes in what makes them happy, we can all spread the love! :)

On a side note, Katie sent me this lovely barrette for Christmas. I'd never seen anything so cool! A flamingo clip??! Loves it! :)

One thing I really wanted to do at our wedding was to get individual pictures taken with my bridesmaids. My BFF, Lanette, did this at her wedding, and our picture together from that day is something I've treasured for almost 20 years. I think they turned out super cute! :)

Pinky's Fandance Redux - Fred Armisen

Thank goodness for second chances!

A few years ago I had the privilege of meeting Fred Armisen after his show. Sadly, our photo was less than great. In fact, I kind of hate it. Why am I so fuzzy and oddly colored? Why does he look 90 years old peering over his glasses?

Thankfully I got another shot at a picture with Fred at the Emmys this past year. I think the result turned out MUCH better! :) Hooray!

The Butler

Last night we watched The Butler and it was a very interesting film. While, of course, not all of the events actually happened, it was still mesmerizing to see the White House portrayed through the eyes of this butler.
