How Do You Spell Success? O-W-E-N
At long last! Owen Wilson! That's right - one of my dreams has come true...not only did I get to see Owen in person, but I got a picture with him, as well.
Owen was one of the last remaining members (aside from Benicio del Toro) of Pinky's Top Ten list that I wanted a picture with. At the premiere of HowDo You Know, I finally got my chance.
In case that wasn't enough, I also lucked out with a ticket to the actual screening. I'd been wanting to see the movie anyway, so I was stoked. As for a review...well, let's just say I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth. The movie was free, Owen Wilson was in it, and they gave out free popcorn and soda. Score!

Pinky's Fandance - Jason Segel
As a huge fan of How I Met Your Mother, I've been dying to meet the entire cast - as up until now I had everyone except Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel.
Luckily, Jason was downtown filming the new Muppet movie today and during a break I was able to meet him. Initially I was afraid I'd have a Josh Radnor-type freak-out, but happily I was able to speak without saying anything too ridiculous. Hooray!

Celebrity Wrap Up - Wednesday Edition
Hello and welcome to Wednesday's edition of Celebrity Wrap Up.
Maybe it's just me, but wearing metallic gold to a sci-fi movie premiere seems a bit much. Don't get me wrong, I love Olivia - I can just do without the gold.
It's like I can read Ben's mind from here, "Man, I'd much rather be reading Pinky Lovejoy's blog right now. This is a snooze fest."
Awkward family photo is right - sign that kid up for counseling now. Get a leg up on it.
And now in the running for England's Sexiest Man 2018.....

The Tourist
I loved watching all the pictures from the film shoot in Venice, Italy while they were making The Tourist and have been looking forward to seeing the movie since then. Luckily, I wasn't disappointed.
The Tourist tells the story of the impossibly beautiful Angelina Jolie and the handsome stranger she meets on a train, Johnny Depp. Together, they're so hot I thought the screen might literally melt. I loved the shots in Venice and watching anything the two actors did. I really enjoyed the film and recommend it if you'd like to watch a fun action movie with some fun romance and hot actors thrown in.

I've been a fan of Lara Flynn Boyle's for a long time and loved watching her performance in Where The Day Takes You.
Still, it was hard to watch her on-screen with her youthful face and then see the Botoxed face in real life. She's such a pretty girl - why would you want to ruin it? Still, it was cool to see her on-stage with Dermot and their interaction.

I haven't crocheted for a really long time, so I'm even more excited than usual to finish my latest project.
Ta-da! It's not the best picture (as the dark green color comes across as black), but I really like the way it turned out. Now I just need to mail it off. :)

A Lifetime of Lonely
After the flurry of activity over the past few days, I was looking forward to a relaxing day at home working on my crochet and some gift-wrapping. Unfortunately (depending on how you loom at it), I've been held hostage by Lifetime TV watching cheesy movie after cheesy movie.
First, it was A Boyfriend for Christmas which was apparently filmed in Salt Lake City. Cute enough, but just made me feel lonely overall.
Currently I'm watching Sundays at Tiffany's, starring Alyssa Milano which is sweet and charming. Also, makes me feel a bit lonely.
Apparently this holiday season has one lonely movie after another to keep me company. Sigh.
Tomorrow, Marry Me is playing...so, at least I've got something to look forward to, right? Wow. That was quite the depressing post, no?

Pinky's Fandance - James Frain & Matthew Rhys
James Frain was recently on True Blood and Matthew Rhys is Brothers & Sisters, both of which are shows I really, really enjoy.
James was at Matthew's play last night and I had the chance to meet them after the show. In person, it's weird talking with Matthew because he's not only straight (his character is gay on the show), but he's British and has a very thick accent. Love him!

Christmas in California
We might not have snow, but it doesn't stop Californians from having some good ol' fashioned holiday cheer.
The harbor by our house is filled with boats that are decorated with cool lights. It's neat to look at on the way home. Fun fun!
