The play let out around 8:45, but there was a cocktail reception for the other play which ended that night and Florence stayed until 10ish. Now, I realize I could've left and come another time, but after I'd gotten my first pictures (with Meredith and Marissa), I decided I might as well wait it out. I didn't want to have to return for one person in the cast if I could just get her that night. So, I waited. Trust me, in this town, waiting an hour or so is small potatoes. The only time I felt weird about it was when Florence was walking out and someone told her I was waiting and I heard her say, "She's been waiting here this whole time?" Oops. Luckily, we chatted like old friends and she ended up giving me a hug and telling me I was special. Although, come to think of it, perhaps she meant special as in the people riding the small bus....fail.
McP wanted to make a special blog appearance today, so she got all dressed up in her favorite color, got her hair did, and brought her favorite blanket/towel. Hi, Pizzer!
While I'm not a huge pretzel fan, I must say that these crackers are pure genius. I thought a pretzel mixed with chocolate was the most delectable pretzel combination on earth, but I was wrong. Pretzels + crackers? Delightful.
In stark contrast to this, the other night I had yet another encounter with Carrie-Anne Moss. This time, I know she heard me ask for a picture (as I looked her right in the face and asked). Her response? No. For the second time in less than a month. No. Are you kidding me? My friend said she saw Carrie-Anne at a premiere and she still said no to her, as well. What on earth? I don't get it.

I spent today on-set doing multiple roles: Production Assistant, Craft Services, and Script Supervisor. Nothing like baptism by fire, right? In case you were wondering, the movie I'm working on right now is called Leaving Limbo and it's about a girl who wakes up from a coma after 19 years. It's really interesting and well written - I enjoy watching it being made. The picture to the left is the official artwork for the film. The only thing missing is my name in large writing on the bottom. Ha! :)
Yikes. Lecy must still be pissed off about losing her role as Becky on Roseanne because she's still going out in public wearing her pajamas. Bless her heart.

Apparently he was there to wait for his wife who was watching the other play. Since we had some time, we ended up chatting and I told him how people have asked me if we're related my entire life (since we have the same last name - even if our names are spelled differently). It was so awesome to meet him. He even asked someone to take this picture for us. So cool!
I had no idea what to expect, so I had to learn as I went along. Sadly, my migraine kept me out of most of the show (those teenage girls are LOUD!!!), but I did manage to spy one fine looking David Beckham sitting with his sons on his lap.
Unfortunately, by the end of the show, all the stars had basically presented and/or collected their awards and left. Look at this shot below. How many stars do you see? It's like a Where's Waldo for celebrities.

Mother Baked and I were talking yesterday and she asked me why I hadn't made this move a long time ago? It's a valid question. While it's true I've been toying with the idea of moving for quite awhile, I could never take the leap to walk away from my boring, yet comfortable life. However, after my sister moved here a few months ago, that gave me the final push I needed.
Most people say I must feel at home here after growing up in California, but the truth of the matter is that I'm from a small town three hours away from LA. Here's an actual picture of the big mall in my hometown. Granted, it's grown a lot since I grew up, but it basically had one highway, two and a half high schools, and no real night-life to speak of. If we wanted to fly somewhere, it was cheaper to fly from LAX three hours away.
I'm surprised by how at ease I feel on the freeways and driving around LA. I never thought I'd feel comfortable here and expected to settle down in a much smaller town. But driving around is quite liberating and I love being near family and friends. Hooray for California! :)
I kinda find it hilarious that he came out looking so pale and vampire-like in this picture. He was really tall and nice, although he wouldn't stop to take the picture (we had to do it while walking). Oh, well - at least he stopped (unlike some other people...Rumer-I'm-Too-Cool-Willis-I'm-Looking-At-You).
It was great to see him and hopefully we'll be able to see each other a lot more - it's nice to have one of my Sundance boys here! :)
