In case you needed more cuteness, McH called me today to share a story about McP. Apparently she ran to the door today and asked, "Who's at the door?" McH was like, "What's she talking about?" Then McP went to the door, knocked on it, and said, "It's Pinky coming to see ME!" Awww....she misses her pink! :)
Look at him - even the gods are smiling upon him. I love that he's all lit up from behind.

Now I'm really wishing I went to see Emma Thompson get her star yesterday. Drinking a pint while holding a pig on your star? Classic!
Hooray! Another reason to say cha-cha-cha! :) Thanks, Rihanna. Cha-cha-cha.
The other day I noticed an ad on TV for the Emmy Awards and, unfortunately, it said the host was none other than Jimmy Fallon. What's that again? Jimmy Fallon? Are you serious? Have you ever watched his show? He's terrible at just hosting that and you want him to do more? Was every other possible candidate on earth unavailable? Heck, I'd be better at hosting the Emmys than this guy. Look at the picture - even he's perplexed by the selection (and with good reason!). I'm very confused here. Did someone lose a bet?
At the premiere the other day, Andy Dick decided to make an appearance and it was the first time I'd ever seen him. After we took the picture, he said, "Look at that - we make a good couple!" Hmmm, how does it sound? Pinky Lovejoy Dick? Um.....maybe not.
In LA, it's not just the occasional drive-thru window that's open 24 hours a day - you can find anything you're looking for any time of the day or night. Today I saw a Sushi restaurant, a Rite Aid, and a grocery store all open 24/7. In Utah, you'd be hard pressed to find anything more than a 7-11 open later than 10 p.m.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing a Jack in the Box - especially when it's down the street and on my way to the freeway. They've got new things on the menu (like a grilled cheese sandwich) and this yummy strawberry soda. Delish!
Why, hello there, Brad and adorable Shiloh. Yes, I would like to come out and throw the ball around a little with you. I'm cool like that.
Hey, Julia - Pick a look, any look. Wanna wear a dress? Fine. Wanna wear some pants (NOT leggings)? Fine. Wanna wear a tiny jacket? Fine. All three together? NOT fine.
I certainly hope Billy Zane wasn't trying to look straight here.
While I completely and totally love living in California and am 100% certain I made the right decision moving here, of course there are bound to be things I miss about SLC and my previous life. I miss the routine of my job (although not the job itself). I miss my apartment. I miss the Farmer's Market and being able to walk around downtown. But I miss my friends most of all - especially little McP.
Luckily, McFamily will be here to visit in a few weeks - I can't wait! And I've got a job interview tomorrow, which is great news. I love living here near family and being able to see them all the time. It's awesome. Positive thoughts that the job thing will fall into place soon....
I'm constantly in awe of the whole lifestyle of those who seek out celebrities for autographs and pictures. I feel as though I've been let into some secret society where all the members recognize each other, but may only giving a passing glance when at events. Everyone has different motives - some do it as a living, some do it as fans, others do it for fun. There are lists, plans, and even lingo that you learn as you go along. Since I'm the newbie, I'm lucky to have people teaching me the ropes. Everyone has different things they specialize in - reality stars, Disney stars, or random lesser-known people. Still, it's a lot of fun and I'm always interested in learning what it's all about.
At every event I attend, I like to chat up those around me to hear all the stories. Yesterday I met a couple who've been collecting together for years - they do autographs and pictures. Earlier this week I met a mother and son who came over from Australia and now actively stake out restaurants and events where they might see celebs. A few of Adam's friends are girls who get pictures with their moms and have done so for years. It's completely fascinating to me since I never knew this world existed. I can't even imagine star searching with my parents - they can barely recognize the pictures I get as it is. The girl yesterday had her mom looking out for celebs and then she'd call us if she saw anyone. Amazing.
Of course, on the downside, these people are serious about their stuff. I do it for fun and entertainment - but as much as I enjoy it, as I've said before, my life won't change one bit regardless if I do or don't get a picture. However, these other people depend on these autographs for their living. They're serious and secretive and if you share information with the wrong people, you'll be cut out of the loop. I don't understand this as much because I don't see anything wrong with everyone helping each other out - especially when everyone likes or needs different people. What's the harm in sharing information?
Although you know Bradley Cooper can do no wrong in my eyes, it's possible he's looking a *wee* bit rough today. I still love him, of course.....
Is that purse bigger than her torso?
Gah! Another wax figure? Nothing scares me more than that....
The first is a delightful creation called the Pretzel Dog from Auntie Em's. Um, how have I never heard of this amazing delicacy before? I'm not usually a huge pretzel person, but combining a soft pretzel + a hot dog? I had to practically squeal after each delicious bite. Two thumbs WAY up.
David is incredibly sweet and super cute. He also starred on the TV show called Numb3rs. It's quite possible I've got a brand new crush. :)
So, apparently a few of the big names at The Expendables premiere actually took some photos with fans yesterday - namely, Mickey Rourke and Sylvester Stallone. The only problem? Homeboys aren't looking so, um, I think human is the word. No one should have quite that much plastic in their face. As much as I'd love a picture with both, I'm not sure I want to capture that look on film. Probably best that I missed it.
