Kill. Me. Now.
Last night I watched two movies from my Netflix queue. Try not to be jealous of my action-packed life. Making cards and watching movies on a Tuesday night? Ridiculously fun.
The first film was called Outrage and it was a documentary about closeted gay politicians. It was so interesting to hear the interviews of those who'd been in the closet and come out - and then compare it to those who are still closeted (and voting aggressively anti-gay as some sort of statement?). It was something I didn't know too much about, so I found the whole film really interesting.
Next on my list was Bright Star about John Keats and his romance with Fanny Brawne. I'm a sucker for love stories and period pieces (especially early century), so I found the film quite satisfying. Of course, I also had my DVD remote at the ready to fast forward the lulls. I kept trying to rememberi what Inge and Tracie told me about this film - that it was slow? Sad? I'm not sure.. I took care of the slow part with my remote, but the sad part....well, yeah. It was sad. Beautiful story, though. I was quite engrossed with the characters and storyline.
A man with mad reflexes and is good with his hands? Yes, please. Is there anything Bradley Cooper can't do?
OMG OMG OMG - Brian McKinney (AKA Gale Harold) was serving dinner in LA for Easter at a mission? I've never wanted to be homeless so bad in my life. Hey Gale - I love you.
Dear E (may I call you E? I can? Awesome),
Kudos and congrats on your recent career success which is bringing you one step closer to world domination. You've got a top rated show, a beautiful and loving wife, and are a welcome addition to American Idol. In fact, I can only think of one thing you're missing - Pinky Lovejoy! Luckily, I can remedy that. You see, E, we're kindred souls, you and me. We both did stand-up comedy, we both like pink, we're both a little quirky, we're both blonde, and we're both hysterical (and modest, apparently). How great would it be to have Pinky Lovejoy on the job at all the big (or even small) celeb events? I could be your Ross the Intern - only funnier and pinker. Together we would make Pinky's Piece (the name is up for discussion - nothing is set in stone) the talk of the town. Think about it. Seriously. This is a great opportunity for us both.
E, I love ya. Your book "My Point and Did I Have One" is one of my favorite reads. You're adorable. Look me up. I just know we're destined to be BFFs.
Adoringly yours,
Pinky Lovejoy
As we all know, the staff at People.com have some pretty ridiculous ideas about what makes a top news story. Let's take a look at today's Top Five, shall we?
Well, anything other than having sex with tattooed porn stars who call themselves "Bombshell." Or motorcycles. Or sexting. Or idolizing Tiger Woods. Anything else, Sandra beats. But not those things.
Guess what? No one cares. I would rather scrape out my eyeballs than look at that woman for one more second.
Who? Oh, the hot girl in Wayne's World? Why don't you just say that? Who even knew (read: cared) that she was married in the first place? How is this news?
I keep seeing this name and I have no idea who Erin Andrews is. Should I know? Is she dating Bradley Cooper or someone famous? Why is someone trying to kill her? For being unknown?
Um, hasn't Nicollette Sheridan been off of Desperate Housewives for like ten years? How is this top news (or any news for that matter)? Way to be relevant and timely, Nicollette. No, seriously, nicely done. I'm sure you'll win BIG money. Perhaps they'll throw in a Rubick's cube if you're lucky (get it, because she's so behind the times?).
Yesterday I went online to price an iPad (since apparently it was just released and everyone is talking about it) and found out that it runs for $499. What am I missing about this thing? It looks like a giant version of the iPhone. If you've already got an iPhone, why would you need an iPad? I can think of a ton of things I'd rather do with $499 (color my hair, get another tattoo, fly to Italy, paint my car pink, buy the Glee DVD, hire a cleaning crew to clean the Pink Palace, or even just buy a plethora of Hello Kitty items/snow globes/flamingos for my collections to name a few). Can someone please explain what the big deal is? iThank iYou (come on, that was iHilarious).
Did you hear that? It was the sound of my heart skipping a beat. *sigh*
Nic, sweetie, we've talked about this. What the hell are you doing to yourself? Are you really trying to make me break up with you? I simply cannot tolerate your wigs, let alone a blonde one. Blech. Knock it off already. No one thinks you're funny.
Didn't Sinead O'Connor used to be pretty? Now she just looks homeless.
One of these things is not like the other.....well, Tori, sweetie, you tried, right? You did a much better job at matching your shirt with your husband's (gag).
How is she not more popular? She walked around the Festival virtually undetected - well, at one point she was walking with Ben Affleck and I'm afraid even Drew Barrymore would've been trampled for Ben. But even by herself, she just went on her merry way. It's Rosemarie DeWitt, people! Respect! :)
Last night my senses were attacked in the worst way possible - by the sneak attack, never-see-it-coming dreaded "song" from days gone by. Now, I realize in most cases I'm an open book and game to talk about anything and anyone, especially the myriad of men (ahem, boys) who've crossed the pink path once upon a time. But there are a few - two, to be exact - that I will never, ever talk about. I just don't. Not to sound like a drama queen (who, me?), but the pain was too excruciating for my little pink heart and to tell you the truth, the bits of my heart I gave away to these two I'll never get back.
That being said, there is only one thing that brings them back to my mind (as I really won't even let myself think about them) - our "song." Each one had a cheesy, gooey love song with me that was "our song" and just when I think I've successfully put these particular heartbreaks out of my mind, one of the songs will come on the radio. On the radio! Heaven knows I won't keep those songs in my possession - but both are SO old there's no reason they should be playing on any sort of radio station. Stupid songs. Stupid radio. How is it that one song can transport a person so entirely to another place and time? I'd say it's almost magical, but that's just being even more dramatic. And who needs that, right? :)

Hey Tori, Elmer Fudd called - he'd like his shirt back.
Is it wrong that I'm kind of in love with this outfit? If I could rock it, I totally would. I'd go around pretending to be C-3PO. I know, I'm cool like that.
