Last, but certainly not least, I'd be remiss if I didn't feature McFamily as one of the best things to happen to me in Utah. Who knew that hanging out with McB a bit at church years ago would one day lead to his family being some of my closest friends?
I'm not sure if I've shared the story on here, but the very first time I met McH was at church and I was wearing a Hello Kitty shirt (
shocking, I know). She said, "Nice shirt" or something like that, but because I didn't know her and her tone, I thought she was being a beyotch and instantly hated her. Flash forward several years later and I can barely get through a day without talking to her 500 times.
Last night was our last Sunday Dinner over at McFamily's house (
at least while I'm living here) and it was bittersweet. I'll miss them all like crazy - especially the dramatic and ever-growing McP who I've had the privilege of watching become the independent, determined, drama queen that she is. To illustrate my point, last week McB found McP looking at herself in the mirror and practicing her fake, dramatic cry. Yeah. They'll have their hands full with that one! Thanks to McFamily for always inviting me over and including me in family events. I'll miss you all more than you'll ever know.
